Staying Safe Online
Well, my advice to the everyday citizen is to slow down, stop, and think. If it’s too good to be true, it usually is.
Even if you’ve called the premises and you’re convinced that it’s a bona fide, legitimate entity that you’re interacting with, I’d say unless you’ve met them, don’t hand over large sums of money.
And even if you have met them, make sure you’ve done all your cross-checks in the background. See a lawyer. Don’t be scammed, and make sure you hold on to your own identity information.
