Your smartphone and social media usage: Reached a “worrisome” pitch?
You can hear it from the most trusted names out there. Professor Katina Michael (technological expert) from the University of Wollongong opined that there are chances of people “under-reporting” when you are asking them about their frequency of their smart phone usage. In fact, there are times when people themselves do not realize how often they end up using their smartphones – unless they take a hard look at the statistics.
The fact that the excessive usage of smartphones has come to be viewed as a normalised activity is, in fact, worrisome. Thanks to the free app called Anti Social (Professor Katina Michael is the ambassador of the same), you can now track the total time spent by you on social media. This particular app also displays the total number of times users actually unlock the home screen. The figures collected from different demographics are then compared."
