This audio file contains a workshop proposal for AUPOV11 submitted for consideration to the panel by Associate Professor Katina Michael from the University of Wollongong. The workshop proposal will focus on the use of location-enabled point of view technologies in the law enforcement sector and will specifically look at the social implications. If the proposal is accepted it will be given the label of the Sixth Workshop on the Social Implications of National Security, this year being held within the AUPOV Conference, at the University of Wollongong. It is hoped that a variety of stakeholders (e.g. law enforcement personnel, covert surveillance equipment supplier, academic from the policing and security field, a member from an advocacy group on privacy or civil liberties) will share their learnings on the theme with delegates.
