Over the years human curiosity, ingenuity and creativity have resulted in a whole range of devices that feature all the time in our daily lives - iPhones, iPads, Tablets, Apps just to name a few.
But are they making our lives freer or is it a case of the opposite? As corporations and governments harness these powerful technologies the question arises on whether they are eroding our personal autonomy? Are we being enslaved by our technological creations? These questions and many more will be addressed tomorrow's IQ2 Debate at the City Recital Hall from 6:30pm.
Dr Katina Michael, Doctor of Philosophy in Information and Communication Technology at the University of Wollongong, explained to host, Sam King, why she is on the panel arguing the case that when it comes to techno slaves, we certainly fit the bill.
